Just Getting Connected is NOT Enough
At Community Wireless, we believe deploying the information highway is one task towards the greater task of leveraging that highway to improve the quality of life and obtain economic prosperity for the community. Therefore, after we connect the community, we provide the expertise and relationships towards the greater task. Purchasing and installing equipment to connect the community is important but, a provider must do more to help their customers get more value from their money they have invested to access the internet and their time they spend using the internet. Furthermore, we are working with the entire community, the public, commercial, and residential segments, to leverage the network for initiatives such as economic development, better education opportunities, and improving the quality of life.
Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP):
Community Wireless is primarily a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) that was formed in June 2004. In July 2003, Community Wireless recognized the growing demand for high-speed internet and that the rural sector was lagging behind in that growth. After a year of research, planning, and development, Community Wireless entered the high-speed internet service industry. Our initial market is Clark County , Indiana and the surrounding area. As our infrastructure and customer base grows, we plan to expand our service area throughout Indiana , Kentucky , and beyond.
